IT'S BEEN FOREVER.. I KNOW

So... It's been a long time since I've posted, but things have been so crazy! Jonathan and I had to make a decision about school, and we've just been super busy with work and just trying to keep things together waiting for this little one to come!

So, let's see where I left off... at the end of April we found out we are having a baby BOY! His name is going to be Lennon Daniel Baker. I hope he loves his name as much as we do! We are so excited!!!

May was a big month between Mother's Day, singing, working, and my good friends Sunny Williams, Susan Odom, Janice Fincher, and Chrystina Fincher through me the best baby shower Jonathan and I could have ever asked for! All of our friends were there!!! It was amazing! Almost 85 people showed! We couldn't believe how many people already loved Lennon!! He and the two of us were blessed with so many wonderful gifts! I can't wait for him to get here so we can start trying on all of the cool clothes and everything!

June.... wow!! Another busy month... there was work of course, Father's Day, and then last weekend was my dad's birthday! Other than that... I've just been working like crazy and preparing to move to LA! That's the other thing... We chose to move to LA for Jonathan to attend school with fully paid tuition at UCLA! My that boy is so smart! We move at the beginning of September right after Lennon joins our family! We can't wait!!! I have been working quite a bit, but I am starting to slow down because of some major back issues. Pregnancy at this stage doesn't seem to mesh too well with two previous back surgeries!

So, for now... I will work until the middle of July it is looking like and then will prepare to meet my little boy and head out to CA!! I am praying for an easy delivery.. well as easy as it can be, and that God will just work everything out for our move! I will try to keep those of you that read this posted about what is going on! Sorry it's been so long! I guess I will get back to cleaning closets and preparing for our little boy and the big move!

DECISIONS... DECISIONS...

So...... Jonathan and I just got back from a trip to Boston for him to visit two of the four schools he got into. He had open house at MIT and Harvard on Thursday and Friday of last week.

Jonathan has been given such huge opportunity, and now we just have to decide where God wants us. He only applied to 4 schools, and got into all 4 with various scholarships offered, and also "advanced placement standing" which is near impossible to do. I could barely even believe I was inside Harvard on Friday, much less to think I would ever stand a chance to get in and with ADVANCED PLACEMENT!! Who does that!!?!?! Haha! I'm so very lucky... Jonathan is very blessed and is so talented! It makes me happy to realize that others notice!

Well, no school has been helping our decision making process.... they have all given great offers, and somehow we can work around the timing of the little one's birth. MIT is the only one with a start date a little too close for comfort! So, we have one week, and have only eliminated one school which is GA Tech. So, all this to say, I know that we are moving to either Boston or Los Angeles. We are deciding between MIT, Harvard, and UCLA. We have to make the right decision for Jonathan and for me and our new little one! This is tough, but God is so big and so great... I know that He already has this mapped out.

Please pray for wisdom over this next week as we face these tough decisions. Pray that God just gives us a clear view of what we're supposed to do and the school we're supposed to choose! It's going to be a tough transition, but in the end... it will all be worth it for our family! I'm so thankful for my life, and for this smart husband God blessed me with, and also for the little one we are trying very patiently to wait for!

As for the baby.... Tomorrow is the big day! We find out if we're having a boy or a girl! I just can't stand it another second! I'm so overcome with emotion... I'm so thankful and I just can't wait to see what this baby will be! It's so amazing to know that God just works the way He only can. That He is taking this little baby and knitting it together so perfect in my belly. That He can prepare my heart to already love in a way I never knew I could and I haven't even met the little one yet! He is amazing, and I am forever grateful. Thanks for all of our blessings!

JONATHAN ACCEPTED TO HARVARD!!

Long time for me not to post anything, but things have been so crazy for us!

Last night Jonathan heard from his first school!! He was accepted into the advanced placement program at HARVARD to receive his Masters Degree in Architecture!! We are so excited!! This is the #1 school for Architecture in the country and they only accept 30 students!! He is basically a genius!! I couldn't be more proud of him!!

God continues to bless our lives so much!! Our little one is growing away, and the morning sickness is starting to get better after 17 weeks and 11lbs. of weight loss!!! We can't wait until April 9th!! That is when we find out if we are getting ourselves a precious little boy or girl!! We couldn't be more excited for this time in our lives! God is so great and continues to bless us everyday!

CONGRATULATIONS JONATHAN!!! I love you so much, and we have so much to look forward to!!

BABY BAKER HAS A DUE DATE

Well.. Jonathan and I made our first trip to the doctor today. I got an ultrasound a little early because my progesterone level has been a little lower than what they wanted. Things look good, and the progesterone has gotten to where it needed to be! Yay God!! It was hard to make out the little one because it's already a little shy like dad!

Baby Baker made sure to nestle in really good into the corner so that it would make things difficult! Haha! But, all this to say, everything looked good and the baby was given the big birthday prediction of.... drum roll please..... 9/2/2008!!

So, we are so excited! Please pray for our little one to keep on growing, and for those of you who have known thank you for prayers! They have meant so much! I will actually get a picture to post of the baby on the 21st of this month! It should be big enough then to really see something good! Although to me today, just seeing a little tiny circle hiding away was the greatest thing I have ever seen in my whole life! Our God is so amazing.... He created each one of us by His own hand, and now He's giving me the blessing of giving another life... WOW! Ok, so I could cry now! Well, I'll keep everyone posted! Happy Monday!

BABY BAKER

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and New Years! It seems like this year went by so fast!! My first year of marriage has been amazing! I feel so lucky to have married my best friend in the whole world!

Christmas time for us was crazy... splitting time between the two families was quite the challenge, but we managed to do it! Jonathan had some good amount of time off of work which was nice for us to really just enjoy each other. It was our second Christmas together and it couldn't have been better!!

The Saturday before Christmas we got the best present we could have ever asked for! We just found out that we will be having a baby later this summer!! We are beyond thrilled!!! God blessed us with this amazing gift and we can't wait to be parents! I should be due right at the end of August!

Of course I don't think I realized that as soon as you find out your pregnant you go right into "mommy mode." I've been worried already if I'm eating the right things, doing everything just right.. It is CRAZY. I know my husband loves me so much right now!! I figure it was a good thing I gave up cokes like three months ago, and all caffeine, so I don't have to worry about coming off of that now. Well, we are so excited we can hardly stand it! Please pray for us during this time and pray for our little one who has already accomplished so much in these few short weeks!

God really has blessed us... I mean how lucky am I that I nanny for the best OB-GYN?!?!?! She has been a life saver, and I know that she must really love my phone calls all throughout the day! Haha! But really... she is the best and I am so thankful for her! Pray for a healthy and strong baby and that I don't drive my husband too crazy during this time! I don't want him to forget why he married me!!!

God is good.... He is really good!

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Well, today has been one year since I married the love of my life in San Francisco! I can't believe one year has already gone by!! We are celebrating in style! A day at Spa Sydell together and then off to a very nice dinner!!

I am so grateful that God brought such an amazing man into my life! He is my best friend, my love, my future.... He's everything.... I love him more than I could have ever promised him that I would!

I hope that God just continues to poor His love on this relationship as the years go by. We have had a great year together, and I look forward to growing old with Jonathan.

I love you Jonathan, thanks for choosing me to be your wife! Thank you for being the man of God that you are! Thank you for putting up with me and I know sometimes that can be tough! Most of all, thank you for showing me a love that I didn't know could happen day after day! I'm so glad God put us together! Thank you for completing me in so many ways! I love you so much!!

Well, I'm off now... gotta get ready for a great day together!

FLAT TIRES AND POLICE CARS

Ok... so let me just say... WHAT A DAY! So, as many of you know I'm a nanny to the most precious boy in the world! Well, on Wednesdays, I always take him to go and visit his grandparents. On the ride home down 400 mind you my tire blew out as I was going almost 70mph!!! So, needless to say that was CRAZY!

As I'm sitting on the side of the road with no way to hardly even get out of my car there are other cars flying past me at least going almost 80! At this time in a panic... I call my wonderful husband at work to figure out what to do! Then, to my surprise a black car pulls up behind my car... out steps an ATLANTA POLICE OFFICER!! GOD IS GOOD!! So, she actually hit the same thing that I did and her tire was flat too. She calls for back up and then a tow truck! So, we wait for what seems like eternity especially with a 2 1/2 year old saying over & over, "did you get a flat tire?"

About that time.... here comes the tow truck guy and yet again I'm thankful that God has sent me two police officers because no offense but this guy was SCARY! He looked like he came right out of Adventures in Babysitting with Elizabeth Shue, for those of you who have never seen that movie I know you have no clue what I'm talking about. For those of you who do know... IT TOTALLY HAPPENED TO ME TODAY!!!

So for towing me like 3 miles down the road I got to pay $105 dollars... Oh yeah!! So I was towed somewhere off of Piedmont Road.... Andrew and I got to take a ride with the other police officer that had showed up to the scene! Haha! I never thought I would see the day with me sitting in the back of a police car looking through a cage to my precious Andrew! Just so that everyone is aware... If you go to North Point or Buckhead Church or whatever... I am a good woman! I just had a flat tire!! They weren't taking my kid, and I didn't get arrested!! He's not even my kid!! So, Andrew had a big time! He loved the siren and was great comic relief to me and the police officer!

So, for all who are reading... if you are going to get a flat on 400, I just recommend that you do it trying to time it ever so slightly to make sure the same thing is about to happen to an officer!! Thanks to them and thanks to this big God who always is in control of every situation! It's because of Him I was able to take the time to laugh at this!! Thanks for keeping me and that precious boy safe!

God Bless-
